Make Way (t-shirt design)

A simpler piece with a backstory. I love it when someone thinks of something that instantly changes their life, so much so that they want it on a t-shirt! It’s not easy to find a design that represents different races or religions, so why not take it into our own hands. I had the opportunity of creating a design that represented the power of women of color. If you look real close, reeeal close, you’ll see the background is full of comments that were said to actual women of color in the workplace, simply to belittle their achievements or make them feel unwanted. Now step back and you’ll see a woman who’s light shines bright enough to darken the comments that are behind her.

It’s simple really. We can’t keep waiting for someone else to represent us. It’s time to make our own way.
