The Cool Beans coffee table book was created with the goal to create a well designed informative booklet while practicing technical writing skills. It required in-depth ethnographic research that took us to several coffee shops throughout the city to observe the shop, test the food and drink offerings and to interview employees and customers. With all this information we compiled a beautiful document informing readers of what we gathered from our visits. In a sense it is an in-depth review pinpointing what makes these local coffee shops so special. To add to that we were sure to highlight what the shops were best for whether that be socializing while grabbing a bite to eat, or working and studying. This piece was a collaborative effort with Kathryn Hoffart and Therese Frederick.
