How does one maximize the resources of a small, not-for-profit organization? After examining Contemporary Calgary’s limited budget over a summer internship, a change was suggested and implemented. Their website was migrated from a contracted developer to an in-house Squarespace domain. The website was designed to be easily manageable and updatable by the Contemporary Calgary staff after the internship ended. This saved the company nearly $20,000 that was initially devoted to a redesign campaign with their developer that year, and gave the company more autonomy and flexibility with their budget.
